Michaela Wyman-Colombo is the Mashpee Select Board Chair and Mashpee’s representative to the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Management Fund.

Michaela is a problem solver and a consensus builder, who actively listens and gets things done. She has served on the Select Board since October 2022 and Chair since June 2025. She credits the Board’s success to their willingness to lengage in informed and thoughtfu discussions about issues, which ultimately results in the best decisions for the Town. Michaela is consistently available to Mashpee residents, holding monthly office hours. She learns from other leaders in Cape Cod and Massachusetts through regular participation in county and state organizations and events. She brings understanding gained from these interactions to decision making for the Town of Mashpee.

In her previous career Michaela was a college professor, graduate coordinator and most recently, Chair of the College of Education at UMass Lowell. She has led many large-scale projects and has secured millions of dollars of competitive grant funding.

When she's not working for Mashpee, Michaela enjoys distance hiking, cold water swimming, gardening and going to concerts with her husband Paul. They share their home with two happy cats.
